Jonathan S. Bresner, MD

Dr. Jonathan Bresner joined Alexandria Fairfax Neurology in July 2008. He earned his Bachelors Degree at SUNY-Binghamton, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After completing a post-graduate program at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, Dr. Bresner entered medical school at SUNY-Stony Brook. Following medical school, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL. Dr. Bresner then entered his neurology residency at Rush University in Chicago, and stayed at Rush to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology, giving him additional expertise in epilepsy, neuromuscular disorders, and EMG/NCS testing.

Dr. Bresner won the Humanitarian of the Year Award for his intern class at Cook County Hospital, and previously had been awarded a research grant through the UCB Pharma Young Investigators Program. He has taught medical students and medical residents at the VCU School of Medicine/Inova Campus.

Dr. Bresner is also proficient in German.
